Faculty of Applied Science

Faculty of Applied Science was gazetted in the mid of 2001 and it has started its academic activities from October 2008, with the Department of Computer Science. Later from 2014, Department of Physical Science started its activities. The Department of Computer Science offering Bachelor of Computer Science degree and the Department of Physical Science offering Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics and Electronics. All the degree programmes are based on the GPA system and provides outcome based education within the purview of SLQF. The medium of instruction is English for all programmes.
The FAS has 03 senior academic staff, 07 academic staff, 03 academic support staff, and 01 Temporary demonstrator in the academic side, whereas the Assistant Registrar of the Faculty assists in the administrative side of the faculty with one Management Assistant and 02 other staff. The faculty revises its curriculum every four years, to include any industrial needs from the contemporary job market within the curriculum. The faculty proposes new degree programmes in the area of ICT and Nano-technology. It is marching towards the innovative scientific world!.
